Name the programme or fixture when you check Irish TV availability. A channel category or an old programme listing is too broad for a decision about a specific evening.
Separate channels, live fixtures and replays
List the channel, the event and whether you watch it live or later. Check the broadcaster’s current listing for your location. Ask separately about catch-up if it is how you usually watch.
Use your shortlist during a trial
Try one familiar programme and the controls you use each week, such as subtitles or search. If a fixture will not take place during the trial, ask for a current availability check rather than assuming from the name of a category.
